It's our network across the City of London and is at the core of everything we do. Its Media Quality, fully IP and optimised for the transit of broadcast Video, Audio and IP transit. Combined with our strategic alliances with Global providers, we can move your content wherever you need it.
On Net with global carriers such as Telstra, TATA and GTT and via our SDN (Software Defined Networking) connectivity, our customers can provision pop-up connectivity for event based usage, scale out to cloud services, and connect between data centres.
How does it work?
Dark Fibre - At the core of our London network is a dark fibre core. It is protected using diverse fibre routes around our two main London PoPs. One PoP is located in the West End, 500 metres from Soho and the other at the heart of the financial district in the Square Mile.
To make the most of this resource we split the dark fibre into multiple wavelengths. Each wavelength is a dedicated channel (or lane), and isolated from all the others. Each wavelength is capable of transporting Ethernet packets at any speed limited only by the equipment put on each end. Typically we run at data rates of 1Gbps, 10Gbps or 25Gbps.
Our solutions, allows us to achieve fibre connectivity between data centres, simply, cost-effectively and allows for rapid expansion. As the optical equipment (muxes) used is passive, meaning it consumes no power, this element has no reliance on power supplies, complex routing engines, and is not subject to network convergence events or traffic congestion.
